I am giving 5 stars, A+, 100% and that is just the surface. I truly appreciate the customer service but also their knowledge and expertise. I was referred to Paul and Brian with super high regards and they seriously deliver. Not to sound cliche but these guys exude integrity.

They replaced my transmission. Fairly priced, especially given the 3 year warranty. I’m so glad they were able to restore my car to working condition.

I found Capitol Transmission & Auto Care through recommendation from a friend at work! I was so sad when I found out my Transmission went out on the day of my Birthday 😭(do emojis show? It’s the crying one)! Paul from Capitol Transmission checked my 2019 Nissan Sentra SR throughly! He ensured me the possibilities of what it could have been. I discovered Capital Transmission several years ago. I was told by a mechanic that I needed a new transmission, so I brought my car in for a second opinion. Brian and Paul thoroughly inspected the car, test drove it, and then explained that it just needed new spark plugs! They are professionals with integrity. They seem to think that if they do a good job and treat people fairly that good karma will come back to them in the long run. Three years later, when I really did need a new transmission, I went to them without hesitation. I tell everyone who will listen about Capital Transmission!

These guys were amazing. I thought I had a transmission problem but after a road test it turns out that it was something else. He charged me not a penny, gave me a referral for where I should go and sent me on my way. It was wonderful. I hope I don’t have to see him soon but if no do, I’ll know where to go.

As soon as you walk in you can find an organized office, with friendly staff. Paul is exceptional with taking time to listen to your concerns and he will address them and explain the option, and Brian will also take care of you if Paul is not there. Love this place. Brian and Paul were thorough and responsive to my numerous questions. Even though I know very little about cars they didn’t make me feel like an idiot, which many car service techs tend to do with a young, inexperienced woman as a customer. They showed me the issues on the car in person and explained their reasoning, which helped me plan next steps. Definitely coming back here when I need it!

I thought my car had a transmission problem. I called Capitol Transmission and talked to Paul. He told me to bring it in and they would look at it. He called me and to my surprise it was not the transmission and the diagnostic test was at no charge. I truly recommend them for your car. I found them to be honest and they put the customer first. Paul was adamant about getting my vehicle into the shop quickly before a larger problem could arise. This outfit is the best. First, my niece came here a couple years ago and she was very happy. I came on the recommendation of another garage, as I thought my transmission was loud and shifting roughly. They checked it and drove my car, and told me everything was fine. No charge. The waiting area is spotless. Capitol Transmission belongs on your A-list.

The guys are great conversationalist, and very down to earth. They were completely upfront and honest with me told me exactly what my transmission was going to cost even though it ended up being a little bit cheaper. Their shop was absolutely impeccable. Came across this business on Yelp after searching far and wide in the area for auto shops that provide great service and priced reasonably, with no sacrifice to quality. Needed my car towed for a transmission replacement, and Paul was very accommodating and informative from start to finish. The job was completed quickly and Paul even went so far to replace other worn out parts at no charge. Would recommend this shop to any and everyone going forward. Only bad thing I can say is rating them 10 stars is not an option.

Brian was extremely helpful when my car broke down a long way from home. He spent the time to talk through the issue with me on the phone, come up with a plan before I arrived, and had us back on the road in no time! He charged me a fair price for excellent service and saved me hundreds on what a dealer wanted to charge.

In 1975 I bought a 1969 Cutlass Supreme with about 68,000 miles. A year later at about 80,000 miles the transmission went. Brought it to Capital transmission for a rebuilt transmission. I sold the car 24 years later with 283,000 miles. Never had a single problem with the transmission.

Paul and Brian are first class from A-Z the customer service I received at Capital Transmission was like nothing I've ever experienced before in my life. Great place to take your car for transmission work. Brought my older Camry in and they were able to fix it without having to do major repairs as other shops would have gone the most expensive way to do so. They were upfront, honest and to top it off I wasn’t even charged for the labor. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring any other cars here if I needed work done!

If you think you can't find reliable, honest and trustworthy car service anymore then you have not tried Capitol! I found them through a local service shop because the recommended repairs were more specialized. I know very little about cars and even less about transmissions but Capitol took the time to explain everything thoroughly to me and educate me through friendly conversation. This is a great shop with a great real team. I highly recommend them and I'll defiantly be back if needed.

They got the work done (transmission on my Nissan Rogue) with no trouble so far and gave me a 3 year warranty. They were able to accommodate me quickly and they were finished even sooner than originally anticipated. All interactions run in a professional manner from start to finish. Clean shop. Very nice, friendly, patient staff/ owners as well. I also compared what they offered me to a couple of other highly rated services in this area and they beat others in overall estimate. Will be using them in the future if needed.

I took my sons vehicle for a second opinion after being told that he would need a new transmission. Brian and Paul were excellent in getting me in quickly and diagnosing the issue. It turned out the car did not need a new transmission, just some wires that were not reattached after a previous service. I had a great experience with Capitol Transmission and would recommend their services to anyone. I brought in my Nissan with what I thought was a broken transmission, but after they took a look they told me it was just a damage transmision pan. They replaced the part quickly and for a very fair price. The owner was very understanding, helpful, and has great communication. Top-Notch! Their rebuild and reinstallation of the automatic transmission on my 20 year-old Acura couldn't have gone any better. It drives like a new car! Their communication was always immediate. Their "worked needed" explanations were super easy to understand. The warranty and price for services rendered are super-competitive, especially when compared to a dealership. I'll ONLY use them for transmission work moving forward!

You can trust these guys. I took my Nissan Maxima in because it has a transmission related diagnostic code. They evaluated it and determined that Nissan would actually cover the cost if the Nissan dealership did the work. Even though Capitol Transmission knew they wouldn’t end up with the job they did the “right thing” and helped me out. I hope I never need a transmission but if I do I know where I’m going to go. Having to replace a transmission is no fun at all. However when it was my turn, Paul and Brian made the experience much less painful. It did take longer to get parts due to supply chain issues but the car runs beautifully. AND, while we waited, Brian noticed one of the ext mirrors was damaged. HE REPLACED IT NO CHARGE. Who does that??? Did I mention the free loaner? So, no matter what your car needs, these gentleman deserve your business, period!!

Brian was SO wonderfully helpful. I was traveling to see a friend and had car issues on the drive to CT. Brian got me in early on Saturday morning, the day before Easter, to help and diagnosis the problem. They were super speedy and VERY friendly. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Brought my car down for a second opinion, because my dealership told me I needed a new transmission and I didn't belive them. Had my car towed to capitol and were able to look at it within a day, was told all I needed was a new sensor! I would highly recommend this place for anyone , very nice honest and professional friendly people . I will be going back if I have any concerns with my car.

Couldn't be happier with my service at Capital Transmission. I had a handful of things going on with my 2007 Corolla. Paul quickly responded to my appointment request and I was able to drop my car off first thing Monday morning. Brian was welcoming and helpful. They were able to get the work done on my car within the same day, because they knew I needed it back ASAP. When I heard a sound coming from the car within a few days after pickup they happily took a look at it again and solved the issue. I will refer anyone who needs any auto help to Capital!!! I would certainly drive a distance just to go here!

I had my 2017 Ford Fusion repaired @ Capitol Transmission and it rides like new, I previously had an issue when on vacation in Florida and although the service in Florida was quick they placed a defect fly wheel that only lasted 9 months. I dealt mostly with Brian who handle both warranty companies that covered the repair and rebuilt the transmission. I am so happy with the car it rides better then when I picked it up from the dealer I'd recommend Paul and Brian to anyone needing extensive transmission work.

I brought my car in for what appeared to be some serious transmission issues. Every shift was extremely laggy, or would completely slip. They called me a few hours later and said they found a shorted wire that was causing it and sent me on my way for no charge. My car hasn’t ran this smooth in as long as i can remember. These are really good, honest technicians and I’ll definitely be coming back here for future issues!

These guys are awesome. My car broke down with transmission problems. I had it towed to their site based on other's recommendations. The identified that the issue is the transmission, but then also took the added step to call a dealer and find out if it was still under warranty. They called to let me know that it was and that I should have it brought to the dealer instead. You don't find this type of honestly and integrity often, these guys are great.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I drive a Chevy Trailblazer and recently suffered my second blown transmission in less than two years. When I called Capitol, the staff was very courteous, very professional, and highly knowledgeable about what they were doing. They rebuilt my transmission for a reasonable price and guaranteed their work with a three year 100k mile warrantee. My car has not driven as well as it now does since the original transmission came out. I am so satisfied that I personally called them to thanked them for a job well done. It feels like brand new again and I am loving it.

This business and their team are above any beyond any regular repair center.
